Hello again
There has been pressure for sometime from the minicab industry for our cars to be allowed to carry some form of signage. The thought is that it would make minicabs easier to identify and therefore pick ups would be more straightforward. The Public Carriage Office has decided to allow us to put some form of sign on the back of our vehicles. I should point out that you are not going to see minicabs driving around with adverts for the local butchers on the back of their car. These signs will be quite small (about a third of the size of the windscreen) and will only have the name of the company and it's telephone number and perhaps the website address. Perhaps something like.

Interline has to send an outline of our proposed sign to the PCO for their approval and we are currently in the process of creating a suitable design. My hope is that they will try to enforce a template of some sort so that there is a uniformity to the signage.
Interline chauffeurs will not carry these signs, We do not believe they portray the right image for an executive car service. We are not in the business of supplying the huge stretch limousines or Hummers that you see driving around and I am not a big fan of this type of car but, in my opinion, they look really tacky with the name of the company emblazoned on the side. Interline will be trying to have a sign which is both subtle yet noticeable. Not easily achieved judging by my efforts so far but we will keep trying. Within a couple of months these should start appearing on minicabs and you will be able to offer your own opinion.
